Significant achievements in research & development
  • Nutritional requirement studies for Pangasianodon hypophthalmus fingerlings (Protein, Lipid, Energy, Vitamin C, Zinc) was quantified for the optimum feeding as per the actual nutrient requirement of the fish.
  • Improvement of flesh quality of P. hypophthalmus through dietary caroteniod and zinc supplementation was achieved.
  • Partial characterization of different genes (Myo-D, Calpain, Cathepsin, Carbonic anhydrase, Hexokinase, Amylase) was achieved through dietary nutrients for P. hypophthalmus.
  • Comparative assessment of compensatory growth, physiological changes and carcass characteristics of Chanos chanos under various stunting regimes
  • Successful demonstration of package of practices for pengba, Osteobrama belangerii.
  • Co-culture of Asian seabass, Lates calcarifer with tilapia for small and marginal farmers livelihood
