Significant achievements in research & development

Dr Krishnani has 27-Years experience in the field of Environmental and Health Management of multi-disciplinary farming system including research driven teachings at four different ICAR Institutes and Overseas Institutes as well. In the last five years, Dr Krishnani has made significant contribution in the field of “Synthesis of nanostructured materials and their valorization for development of zeolite based nanocomposite for mitigation of priority abiotic and biotic stresses”; “Neutraceuticals and feed formulation with nanometallic particles for multiple stress resilience in fish”; “Microbially derived polymeric product for gel formation, microbial colonization and metals binding”; “Molecular characterization of salt tolerant bacterial diversity in saline agricultural soils using metagenomics”; “Labeo rohita myostatin gene sequencing”; “Characterization of agrowastes derived biochars”; “Tool for assessment of multiple heavy metals in sewage fed aquaculture for the safe consumption”; “Cellular and histological tools as biomarkers for assessment of metal contamination”; “Breeding and seed production of Singhi (Heteropneustes fossilis) in abiotic stressed farms”, and “Implementation of improved technology interventions in agri-aquaculture systems for livelihood improvement of farmers”.

In the last five years, the green research initiatives, hallmark of his attainment had helped him in obtaining 30 research publications including 22 papers in high visibility journals of NAAS Impact factor of 7.5 and above, and three granted patents. Microanalysis kits originally developed and commercialized by him during 2008-2010, a part of which has been re-commercialized as multi-parameter Kit and licensed to Mysore based Entrepreneur in 2019. He has guided four students for the short term project work as partial fulfillment of B.Tech and MFSc degrees. He has delivered 40 resource / invited / plenary / keynote lectures in the field of Environmental Biotechnology, Nanobiotechnology and Edaphic Stress Management. Presently, he is involved in research driven teachings, extension research, guiding MFSc and PhD students.
