Significant Achievements in Research:
  • Catalogued seasonal pattern of bacterial pathogens associated with cage cultured Pangasianodon hypophthalmus in the reservoirs of Maharashtra.
  • Isolated and identified 60 Fish and shellfish pathogenic bacteria and ich parasite and characterized at molecular level using 16s and 18s rRNA gene sequences, submitted to NCBI and obtained accession numbers.
  • Characterized the gut microbiome of Pangasianodon hypophthalmus using 16s metagenomic sequencing and submitted to sequence read archive (SRA) during health and disease.
Awards/ Honors:
  • Recipient of JENESYS-2019 Fellowship.
  • Recipient of Dr. Hiralal Chaudhuri Gold Medal for securing the top position in the M.F.Sc. Programme (2016-18) at ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai.
  • Honored with the Prof. Rabindranath Krothapalli Gold Medal for securing in the M.F.Sc. Programme (2016-18) in Aquatic Environment Health Management at ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai.
  • Received International Travel Grant from ICAR-CIFE, NAHEP to participate the international conference on ‘12th Asian Fisheries & Aquaculture Forum’ held at Iloilo, Philippines during 8-12 April 2018, organized by Asian Fisheries Society.
