- Shri S. S. Ahluwalia, Hon'ble Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Parliament Affairs, Govt. of India visited ICAR-CIFE Kolkata Centre on 25.03.2017. The Hon’ble Minister graced the valedictory programme of the short term training programme (16-25 March, 2017) as chief guest on Freshwater Aquaculture. Dr. B.K. Mahapatra, OIC, ICAR-CIFE, Kolkata Centre welcomed the Hon’ble Minister in the programme. The chief guest enquired about the content of the training programme, quality of the deliberation, lesson learned, any improvement in confidence level. He expressed his happiness about the programme after getting the feedback from the trainees. He also suggested the farmers to prepare their pond scientifically to increase the productivity.
