ICAR-CIFE, Kolkata Centre celebrates the “Agricultural Education Day” on 3rd December 2016 as a part of Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, who was the first Union Minister of Agriculture of India in 1946 and first President of Independent India.

More than 50 students from different colleges participated in this programme. Dr. B.K. Mahapatra, Principal Scientist & OIC of the Centre brief the significance of this programme and motivated the students to choose agriculture and allied subject for professional career. Many students put their views in support of choosing of agriculture as a professional career. All the scientist of the Centre interacts with the students and discusses various aspects of agricultural education.
