    Introduction:

Skills and knowledge can be viewed as motivating force to improve the efficacy and contribution of human resources to overall success of any institutions and the country as well. Over the years skills and knowledge have become even more important given the increasing pace of globalization and technological changes that are taking place in the world. Skill building is an important ingredient to push the output and could also be seen as an instrument to empower the individual and improve their social acceptance. Small mistake in handling equipment may significantly affect the research output. Many times we don't pay attention to the calibration of equipment or accuracy in measurement leading to erroneous result. In this context it is envisaged that before the work we should know the basic principle of equipment's so that we can insure the accuracy of research data.

Developing skills through further training provides significant benefits including improved networking, time management, communication and negotiation skills, increased employment opportunities, increased career development opportunities and finally personal growth. To survive in the increasingly competitive environment laboratories must produce results in a timely fashion with minimum possibilities of errors and at lower costs. Automation offers a solution to many of these requirements which itself is technology driven. Thus upgrading and updating the recent knowledge and skill in the respective field is of paramount importance for any scientific personnel's.
