CIFE, Kolkata conducted record-breaking Training programmes involving various scientist and students

Participants from Sunderban in 3rd Training Programme on Adhunik Upaye Machher Chash (Modern methods of fish culture).
  • CIFE, Kolkata conducted Training Programmes in different aspects of fisheries and aquaculture as mentioned below:

    1) Training on Ornamental Fish Breeding and Culture

    Conducted three trainings on this subject

    • On entrepreneurship development for 25 students, scholar & entrepreneurs from 4 to 10.08.2015
    • On-job training for 23 the IFF students of R.D.S. College, Muzzaffarpur, Bihar University from 20 to 24.09.2015
    • on Quality improvement in ornamental fish for 16 students, scholar & entrepreneurs from 12 to 17 October, 2015.

    2) Basic Training on Freshwater Aquaculture

    Conducted eight training on the subject

    • Training in local languages (Bengali and hindi) for the 81 fish farmers from Sunderban, W.B. in three batches from 14th to 20th September, 2015, from 28th October to 03rd November 2015 and 13 to 19th January, 2016. In two batches for 45 fish farmers from Nawada & Saharsa district, Bihar on 21 to 30 April, 2015 and 5 -14 May, 2015.
    • For 46 Progressive Fish Farmers from South West Khasi Hills, Mawkyrwat, Meghalaya on 13 to 19.07.2015 and 18th to 24th November, 2015.
    • For 45 3rd year B.Sc. (Ag) students of Institute of Agricultural Science, BHU on 10 to 19 June, 2015.

    3) Training on Management of Soil Water Fish Diseases in Aquaculture

    Conducted three training on the subject

    • For 11 students from two colleges of Kolkata from 16 to 22 April, 2015)
    • “Management of Water Quality and Diseases for Ornamental Fish Culture” for 24 progressive ornamental fish breeder and entrepreneurs from 8 to 9th Sept, 2015 sponsored by MPEDA.
    • from 27th October to 02nd November 2015 for 49 students, scholar & entrepreneurs.

    4) STP on Fish Processing Technology and Development of Value Added Fish Products

    Conducted three trainings on the subject for 49 students, scholar & entrepreneurs, on 23 to 30 June, 2015, 25 to 29.09.2015 and 03-09 November, 2015.

    Conducted two months duration In-Plant Training Programme for 18 4th year B.F.Sc. students of Raha Fisheries College, Assam during 29th Sept to 28 Nov, 2015.
