Interview Skills Workshops

The team members Dr. Arpita Sharma, Dr. Manish Jayant, Dr. Kapil, Dr. Deepitha and Abuthagir successfully organized two Interview Skills Workshops (28-08-2023 and 1-11-2023) with an aim to prepare students for job interviews in the sheries sector. These sessions provided valuable insights into interview processes, grooming and effective communication helping students build condence and readiness for real-world job interviews. Feedbacks received from students have been very good.

Virtual Placement Fairs

The team members Dr. Arpita Sharma and Dr. Manish Jayant have been proactive in forwarding relevant job notications to students through email and other social media platforms. This timely dissemination ensures that students are informed about job opportunities in the eld of sheries, facilitating their job search and application process.

Dr. Arpita Sharma and Dr. Manish Jayant organised and coordinated the Virtual Placement Fair with company Waterbase Ltd. on 2nd February, 2023 at ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai. Seventeen students from 7 disciplines attended the Placement Fair. Following 17 students attended.

Placement Assistance

Dr. Arpita Sharma and Dr. Sanath Kumar organised placement with HDFC bank. Written exam and interviews were conducted by HDFC bank. Student Ankit Kumar, Division- Fish Nutrition Biochemistry and Physiology (FPBMB1- 01) got selected as HDFC Bank as Relationship Manager. In this, total 8 students applied and appeared for the written exam and 5 students got selected for the interview and out of those 2 students were selected by HDFC.

Personality Development Programme on Stress Management

The team members Dr. Arpita Sharma and Dr. Abuthagir organized an insightful Training Programme on 'Stress Management' on November 30, 2023. The event aimed to equip students with essential tools and techniques to effectively manage stress in their personal and professional lives. The keynote speaker for the event was Ranjana Makharia, a Certied Holistic Healer renowned for her expertise in stress management techniques. She delivered an engaging and informative session, blending theoretical knowledge with practical exercises and real-life examples to illustrate the impact of stress on individuals and strategies to mitigate its effects. She guided participants through relaxation techniques, mindfulness practices, and effective time management methods, offering valuable insights into coping mechanisms that can alleviate stress in day-today life. The interactive nature of the session encouraged active participation from the students. Students enthusiastically engaged with Ms. Makahria, asking questions and sharing their own experiences and perspectives on stress management.
