Supply of pedigreed Zebrafish Embryos, Juveniles and Adults

1. Embryos (Non inbred): Rs 10 per embryo
2. Embryos (Inbred- known level): Rs 20 per embryo
3. Juvenile (5-30 days old): Rs 30 per fish
4. Sub Adult (30-60 days old): Rs 50 per fish
5. Adults (> 60 days old): Rs 100 per fish

Nano-Particle Size / Zeta Potential Analysis Service

1. The cost of determing size and zeta potential for one sample will be Rs. 3500/- (Rupees three thousand five hundred only) per cuvette used. The charges are the actual cost on no profit basis to facilitate research in universities and other institutes.
2. The facility will be provided for research purpose only and the request should be on the institution’s letter head duly signed by faculty member / research supervisor.
3. The work will be accepted depending upon the work and machine load.
4. The payment will be collected immediately before the samples are processed.

Fish DNA Barcoding Service

1. DNA barcoding service is only for aquatic animals.
2. The price for processing one sample for species identification / authentication at Rs. 5000/- (Rupees Five thousand only). This service will be offered to universities / colleges for research purpose only.
3. Samples (Tissue / Fin) received in good condition (preserved in absolute alcohol) only be analysed and will be intimated to the applicant if they are to be replaced.
4. Cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) partial gene (Folmer region) will be used for animal DNA barcoding. However, additional targets such as 16S rRNA can be included as per the request from applicants.
5. Minimum 20 days may require for completing one assignment (24 samples). However, time needed for analysis will increase with the number of samples and complexity of the species analysed.
6. Total cost for the analysis should be paid in advance either as DD drawn or cheque drawn in favour of The Director, ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai, 400061.
7. Director, ICAR-CIFE reserves the right to reject an application, citing no reasons.
