As part
of the Agricultural Education Reforms, ICAR has taken steps to
reform the course curricula for Masters and Doctoral programs.
Eighteen Broad Subject Matter Areas (BSMA) have been identified and
one of them is Fisheries.
After
a series of consultations organised at Central Institute of
Fisheries Education, Mumbai by BSMA, the following syllabi has
tentatively been finalised for submission to Review Committee being
held at Karnal during 13th June 2008. It may be noted that the final
meeting is to be held on 23/6/08 at New Delhi and comments would be
welcome till then.
