Extension

  • The CIFE, Kakinada center is playing a important role in promoting extension activities.
  • Conducted number of programmes under lab to land & technology transfer projects on various aspects of aquaculture.
  • Demonstrations on farm activities were held for 4567 nos of trainees/ entrepreneurs/students/faculty of universities during visit to the center.
  • 26 radio talks were delivered on various topics through All India Radio, Visakhapatnam.
  • About 9 Television programmes were covered on various topics by the OIC and faculty.
  • About 6 different programmes were telecasted on Eenadu television in regional language for the benefit of aqua farmers during last 2 years.
  • Ten Farmers meets were organized.
  • Technical guidance extended to over 380 fish and prawn farmers in both Brackishwater and freshwater aquaculture covering all coastal districts in A.P.
  • Exhibitions on various aspects were organized
