To conduct short-term training programme on various aspects of aquaculture namely brackishwater aquaculture freshwater aquaculture, management of freshwater prawn hatchery and carp and catfish seed production technologies;

To organize field demonstration, transfer of technology programme of proven technologies in Aquaculture;

To undertake research projects in the field of brackishwater and freshwater aquaculture.
