The Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Powarkheda Centre is having training facility in freshwater aquaculture with the acquisition of a 100 acre fish farm at Powarkheda from the Government of Madhya Pradesh in 1983. Infrastructure facilities like hostel, farm area (20.1 ha land with 6.3 ha ponds), laboratory and library are available at this centre.
