A three day Capacity building Program on "Enhancing the Competitiveness of Indian Fisheries" is being organized by the apex body of fisheries co-operatives FISHCOFED, New Delhi jointly with CIFE, Mumbai during 12-14 August 2008 at Conference Hall, CIFE, Mumbai. About 30 participants from Maharashtra and Gujarat mainly Officers of Fisheries Co-operatoives, Dept. of Fisheries, Exporters,  and other Technical Staff involved in fisheries sector are expected to participate.

The inaugural program will be held at 10am on 12.08.2008 in the Conference Hall, Yari Road campus, CIFE, Shri Haji Anees Ahmed, Hon'ble Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, Govt. of Maharashtra would be the Chief Guest. Fisheries Secretary and Fisheries Commissioner are also expected to participate. All the faculty are requested to attend the program.
